The Trickletide Spindle-Spiders – the secret keepers of the pumpkin patch

How big are they?

From toe tip to toe tip, a Trickletide Spider measures only about 4 cm just wide enough to span a single pumpkin leaf and deliver the softest, magical hugs among the blades of grass. If you measure from the front toe, over their little round body, all the way to the very end of their tail tip, they stretch up to 5 cm perfect for winding their way through dew drops and secret paths across the pumpkin patch. And from their bottom the tiniest spider-tummy to the very top of their head, they reach about 1.5 cm in height, just enough to hide under leaves while still keeping watch over any autumn adventure.

Who is the Trickletide Spindle-Spiders?

In the shadowy corners of Halloween land, nestled beneath golden leaves and nestled in cozy cobwebs, the Trickletide Spindle-Spiders gather for their moonlit council. No bigger than a thumb and painted in every color a candy which could dream, these six-legged spinners are the secret keepers of the pumpkin patch.

Each spider glows softly with its own mysterious color: Ruby-Red spins laughter into lanterns, Sprout-Green weaves tiny riddles between grass blades, Velvet-Purple glides from pumpkin to pumpkin, listening for secret wishes, Midnight-Black whispers old ghost stories, Cobalt-Blue snuggles into dewdrops and listens for hidden hopes, and Tangle-Orange—that merry sort!—tickles sleeping toads and leaves pumpkin pie crumbs wherever she scurries.

On All Hallows’ Eve, if you dare to whisper your dearest hope into the spiderweb—right at midnight—the Spindle-Spiders will carry your wish across the patch and tuck it safely beneath the largest pumpkin. In the morning, don’t be surprised to find a thread of silken web or a tiny, cheerful spider-shaped charm waiting just for you!
